AIMES Final Pilot in Portugal – SUCCESS

The final pilot of AIMES was successfully conducted on 17th December 2021, organized by EDGENEERING and hosted by the Hospital do Espirito Santo de Evora (HESE) in the city of Évora, Portugal. HESE was available to host the pilot since they used the EDGE eCare solution, a core component of the demonstration.

The pilot demonstrated the following capabilities:

  • A Portuguese citizen calling emergency services in Spain (roaming scenario)

  • A Finnish citizen calling emergency services in Portugal (roaming scenario with automated translation)

  • A patient under domiciliary hospitalization with a hyperglycemia incident triggers an automated call, followed by an efficient dispatch.

The focus of the final pilot was to demonstrate important PEMEA capabilities – including roaming, multimedia calls, file exchange and automatic translation – and the latest features developed in AIMES related to automated calls and incident dispatching.

Notably, the final pilot demonstrated a fully integrated AIMES end-to-end solution involving components developed by Deveryware, EDGE and Omnitor.

The recording of the event is available below. Please note that some parts required post-editing due to technical problems during the recording.
